Environment, Health and Safety remains one of the primary concerns of the company. The plant has been designed keeping in mind best practices in EHS. The company monitors the Health and hygiene in the plants.

The plant is functioning with surface water. A liquid effluent treatment plant is designed to handle 10,000 m³ per day of liquid effluents, involving biodegradation & tertiary treatment. Scrubbing systems are provided for treating gaseous discharges. The non-biodegradable residues are either incinerated in the four chemical waste incinerators or are sent for burial to a government notified 45 acres of land owned by the parent company.

  • Set targets to measure, audit and periodically review health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and any voluntary commitments made by the company.

The operations of the plant are guided by safety regulations and guidelines. Each process is subjected to detailed risk analysis prior to transfer for regular production. Additionally general safety appliances and provisions like the fire hydrant system, fire fighting equipments, emergency plant evacuation procedures are in place.
